SULSA BBSRC BioSKAPE Studentship

In July 2010, we reported that The University of Strathclyde, Scottish Universities Life Sciences Alliance (SULSA) and Helperby Therapeutics have joined forces to fund a new PhD studentship focusing on TB drug discovery.

We are pleased to report that Miss Helena Goncalves has now begun a 4 year PhD SULSA BBSRC BioSKAPE studentship working with Helperby Thereputics.

The project team include Drs Geoff Coxon, Nick Tucker and Blair Johnston from the University of Strathclyde and Prof Anthony Coates (CEO Helperby) and Dr Yanmin Hu from St Georges Hospital University of London.

The project involves the design of new compounds targeting TpX from M. tuberculosis.
