First Minister opens University of St Andrews gateway to medical discovery

On Friday 12th November, Scotland's First Minister Alex Salmond opened the University of St Andrew's new Medical and Biological Sciences Building. The First Minister marked the occasion by unveiling a commemorative seat in the buildings courtyard.

 

The official opening ceremony was then followed by a series of afternoon lectures including TBD-UK's Chair Professor Stephen Gillespie presenting "Tuberculosis and the fall of Napoleon".
